The diameter of the reinforcing bars or wires should meet the requirements of the multi-station cold heading machine; excessively thick or thin reinforcing bars (wires) should not be cold-headed.
Within the allowable cold heading diameter range of the cold heading machine, the position of the clamps (screw-in or screw-out) can be adjusted according to the required anchor head size to obtain a suitable protrusion allowance for the reinforcing bars (wires).
Rust removal and straightening are required within the 120-130mm area of the cold-headed portion of the reinforcing bars (wires).
The ends of the reinforcing bars should be ground flat to ensure the accurate shape of the cold-headed anchor head.
After cold heading, a tensile test must be performed to verify the strength of the anchor head.
